Dear Friends of INTERPLAST Switzerland,
2020 is gradually taking its course. We all have experienced the limitations of the pandemic in recent months. After the pandemic, problems having been removed from the agenda need to be tackled again. But what does it mean: After the pandemic? When will it be? They just exist the “other” problems. That is why we will be doing our outreach in Bamako/Mali from Dec 4th – 13th, 2020 where the focus will lay on facial and breast reconstructions. Associations live from far-sightedness of their helpers, from the fact of investing time and from donations. In today’s reflection, it seems to me that we have neglected these facts. One month before the turn of the year, on the one hand, I would like to thank all those who have contributed to our last missions – without you, nothing works in our association and on the other hand, I ask all the friends of INTERPLAST Switzerland to continue working, getting involved and above all: Stay healthy.
Mission in Bamako/Mali
From 4 to 13 December 2020 another mission in Mali is being planned, primarily with reconstructive operations after NOMA diseases, burns and operations form tumour diseases (especially breast cancer). The mission is taking place in cooperation with "Ensemble pour Eux". Donations would greatly facilitate our work
The restaurant Höchi in Hirzel has thought up a great fundraising campaign. A "Frässsack" is available with various picnic contents. 5 CHF per every bag sold for INTERPLAST. In addition, a female artist exhibiting and selling her pictures in the restaurant Höchi. Per sold picture likewise 10 CHF extra to that.
We thank you very much and hope for many hikers and art enthusiasts.
Based on our successful first mission in the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Koforidua (Ghana) in November 2019, we have also decided to continue the project with annual missions. Unfortunately, we have to cancel the planned two-week mission this November due to the current global Corona situation. We are very confident and, of course, we are looking forward to our mission in 2021, which is expected to take place again in late autumn.
Unfortunately, the Benefit Concert in Lucerne on 7 June 2020 has to be cancelled within the framework of the current security measures due to the Corona virus. We will keep informing you about it in the course of upcoming events and missions. Thank you very much for your interest and your donations. Stay healthy!
